Okay, I have the opposite problem: I never let myself buy the Fun and Dumb thing, because I’m convinced I’ll never wear it, and then I am always so bored when I’m staring into my closet! 😂 Excited to follow this challenge and get some inspo on how to branch out a little!
Fun dumb things are becoming my speciality. Eg trousers with pears and blackberries on, lime green top with huge bat wing sleeves, abstract pattern pink and yellow duster coat and you know what, I am loving my clothes more than ever
Please tell me you’re on Indyx so I can snoop in your (virtual) wardrobe… it sounds amazing!
And you’re right - I feel the same. My dumb fun clothes make me so happy and I love my closet more than I ever had… even if I find it tricky to wear some of the things in my real life. It’s a work in progress!
I sure am its kendal alana. What i will say is I have taken a hard u turn from my days of buying good quality basics and staples so I am slowly but surely adding the more interesting bits
Omg this is such a fun challenge! I might join you! or shall I say: "challenge accepted" (in creepy demon voice, haha) Looking forward to seeing that beauty styled in many ways!
Okay, yes please to this! Would love the answer of how to dress down a sequin skirt to not be- wear an oversized white t-shirt.
Looking forward to this week- I have a fringed jacket on my wishlist again, and I've found a corker on Vinted for dirt cheap, BUT it's cream suede, and I live in the UK which is either chucking it down with rain or too humid to wear it. So it's not a practical purchase at all! But I want it.....
Side question for you- we can now shop from Australia on Vinted! Any brands to recommend? The 2 dresses I've had previously have been from Seed and an independent brand, and the quality seemed amazing.
I’m not literate re vinted but there are dozens of great Aussie brands. If you like seed you might also like: witchery, country rd, Gorman, elka collective, trennery, cable… for more high end Aussie fashion I’d look at brands like Viktoria & woods, Bianca Spender, Camilla & Marc, Scanlan Theodore, Aje, zimmermann
I am very much an enabler so you know my advice is going to be: you only live once!! It doesn’t matter if it’s not the most practical choice because I imagine you have practical jackets for the days that require them. It’s a joy choice for the days where you need a little extra joy.

If only we could take a little of your discipline and mix it with a little of my frivolity… we’d have two perfectly curated wardrobes!!
This is me too! Also excited for fun dumb inspo
I hope I deliver for you 💖
This is a great idea!
Thank you 💗 I’m hoping to publish my recap from week one today (but I’m still editing so who knows!!)
Awesome article once again!! I need to embrace more fun for sure x
Thank you ☺️ I don’t know… I’ve seen you rocking some pretty fun things!

Haha, I love it! And honestly, you need fun dumb things to make your wardrobe interesting.
Yes! I’ll be putting the person in personality piece!
A brilliant idea, looking forward to all the fun & dumb things!!! And i love this perspective, those things are generally the soul of our closets 🙏🏽
The soul of our closets - I LOVE that! Without them all my outfits would be so boring!
Love that jacket!!!
